Payment Policy

We accept cash and credit/debit card payments upon arrival. Accepted cards are Mastercard, Visa and JCB.

There is a 3.5% surcharge on all card payments.

We will process your payment when you arrive at Sara Resort. We do this because we are a remote island and it can take a few days to process your payment. Therefore, we start processing your payment with your credit/debit card as soon as you check in.

Please note, that the transaction may go through immediately or after a few days. Often, in times of severe weather, card transactions can take a number of days to process. For this reason, we take all payment details during the check in process.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your booking up to 1 day before your arrival and there will be no cancellation charge. Refund will be issued in form of a voucher.

Check In & Check Out

• Check-in time starts at 2pm and ends at 10pm
• Minimum check-in age is 18 years old.
• The front desk is open daily from 6am to 10pm. Outside of these times, there are staff on standby.
• Check-out time is 11am.
• In some cases, we can accommodate late check-outs. Please speak with our reception team. We do not guarantee that we can always offer late check-outs.

Breakfasts

Breakfast is served in our restaurant between 7:00am and 10:30am.

Restaurant

Our restaurant is opened from 7am until 11pm, kitchen is open until 10pm. No outside food or BBQ is allowed.

Getting to Sara Resort

Guests need to arrange their own ferries from the mainland to Saracen Bay on Koh Rong Samloem. Please contact us and we can give you advice about how to book a ferry to Koh Rong Samloem.

We do offer free transfers from any pier on Saracen Bay. Please contact us prior to your arrival, let us know what time and what ferry company you are using and we will come and get you.

We will also drop you back to the pier when you checkout of Sara Resort.

Room Cleaning

Your rooms comes with freshly washed and pressed bed sheets, linen and towels. However, please bear in mind that we are an environmentally responsible and ecologically friendly resort. We strive to save our planet from the toxic pollution of chemicals the world currently consumes.

We will change your towels daily, however, we will only freshen bed sheets daily and we will change them every other day due to our environmental policy. Should you require a bedsheet change, please inform our reception. This allows us to reduce the negative impact of the continual cycle of washing the laundry daily.

Electricity on the Island

Due to the limited amount of electricity available on the island, unfortunately we cannot provide refrigerators and kettles in the rooms. But if necessary, please contact our reception desk and we will try our best to help you.

Drugs & Smoking

Drugs are strictly prohibited at Sara Resort including Marijuana!

Smoking is not allowed in the rooms! Please use outdoor smoking areas.

Tickets

We can help you to book and confirm bus and boat tickets. Please do this a day before you travel, before 6pm.

Toiletries

Visit reception for any replacement toiletries needed, as we are an eco-friendly resort.
